2025 Annual General Meeting minutes

We held our first ever Annual General Meeting! Here’s what was discussed:
- The meeting was called open at 20:00 by James Johns.
- A vote was taken to name the club “Bristol Riichi Mahjong”. The vote passed.
- The proposed constitution was discussed. An amendment was suggested to increase the number of members required to request an AGM from 2 to 4. A vote was taken to adopt the amended constitution. The vote passed.
- Tom Pearson was elected Chair.
- James Johns was elected Co-chair.
- A vote was taken to adopt the club logo as seen on the website. The vote passed.
- A vote was taken for the club to seek affiliation with the UK Mahjong Association. The vote passed.
- The method in which inaugural members would be determined was explained. No objections were raised. The method was as follows: everyone who filled in the signup form which had been distributed on Discord and Facebook, and has also done one of the following:
- attended this meeting
- played at least one hand of riichi at one of our meetups in the last year
- The meeting was closed at 20:46.
